Hawaiian Auto
The Hawaiian Auto cannabis strain comes from somewhat unknown origins. The parent strains, unknown. The exact location where the strain was created, unknown. What we do know is that Hawaiian Auto is a Sativa-dominant strain with a tropical flavor and ultra-high THC content. The potent autoflower is full of citrussy flavors that taste sweet while omitting an uplifting aroma. This energetic strain provides a happy buzz that is best to be enjoyed during the day. If you’re a social, talkative person then you have stumbled across the best strain for you. The vibe is relaxing but won’t pin you to the couch. The flavor will leave a warm sweet taste on your tongue reminiscent of biting into a tropical fruit. Smooth and refreshing, every day should start with a toke or two of this strong yet forgiving bud.

Hawaiian Auto: Tropical Wake-and-Bake
Hawaiian Auto seeds grow into beautiful cannabis plants that are chock-full of THC. The long-leaved, bushy plants feature light green buds with small orange hairs. The leaves on this plant look like they were the prototype for the original marijuana leaf. Once trimmed, dried and harvested you are left with dank little nuggets that are more amber than they are green. When you break them apart they release a sweet, pungent scent that will fill your grow room in seconds. You can even see a dash of reddish purple in these nuggets if you look closely. The Hawaiian Auto strain has won several smaller, local awards but doesn’t have any major trophies to brag about yet. What it can brag about is its quick grow time and ease in which these plants can be brought to harvest.
Growing Tips for Our Seeds
Hawaiian Auto seeds are best grown in warm, sunny locations where the plants can really soak up those UV rays. Humidity is necessary but too much and the plants will be overly moist and could grow mold. When growing indoors, try to recreate a Mediterranean-type climate. This will ensure you make it through the short flowering time and get to your harvest. These plants have a short flowering time, usually between 7-10 weeks. Once the buds have matured, cut the branches and hang upside-down in a cool, dry place for 7-10 days. Then clip the buds and put in jars to cure. Open the jars daily for the first week to release any trapped moisture. Let them cure in 2-4 weeks.
Dial in Your Growing Conditions
- Indoor or Outdoor: Hawaiian Auto plants can be grown both indoors and outdoors and are one of the easier strains to grow, even for first timers. The ideal temperature for these plants is between 70-80 degrees fahrenheit. This strain benefits from 18-24 hours of light per day during the vegetative stage and flowering stage. Most autoflowering strains do best with an 18/6 light cycle.
- Moisture control: Relative humidity levels should be approximately 50-60% during the vegetative stage. Lowering the humidity to a steady 50% during flowering will help you reach your optimum yields without any issues concerning mold or bud rot.
- Training Techniques: Implementing strategies like topping and Low-Stress Training are recommended for this strain. It is recommended to gently bend the branches in order to promote light reaching the lower branches and buds.
The Germination Game Plan
Before you even plant your Hawaiian Auto female cannabis plants, you will first need to germinate these seeds. To do so, refer to our free germination guide, knowing that they are backed by our impressive 90% germination guarantee.
Yields, Flowering Time and Harvest
- Flowering Time: With indoor grows you can expect the Hawaiian Auto strain to harvest after an average flowering period of 60-65 days. Cultivated outside, Hawaiian Auto should be harvest-ready early to mid-October.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 175 grams per square meter and outdoor grows typically produce up to 175 grams per plant. Smaller yields but a plant that has THC and is ready to harvest quickly.
Dominant Terpenes in Hawaiian Auto: Tropical Flavor & Aroma
The Hawaiian Auto terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells, tastes and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is myrcene while limonene and beta-caryophyllene are the secondary terpenes.
- Myrcene: Most Dominant– Anti-inflammatory and stress reducing effects on the user. Gives the strain its earthy and musky notes.
- Limonene: Secondary Terpene – Found in citrus fruits as well as cannabis. Responsible for the fruity citrus flavor.
- Beta-Caryophyllene: Spicy and Peppery– Produces the spicy, peppery aroma and is responsible for anti-inflammatory properties.
Dominant Cannabinoids in Hawaiian Auto:
Cannabinoids play an important role in Hawaiian Auto seeds and are generally a huge part of most cannabis strains. That energetic, happy and focused feeling you get when enjoying the Hawaiian Auto strain is due to its dominant cannabinoids. Each cannabinoid does something different to the user.
- THC: The Main Character – THC is the most dominant cannabinoid on the molecular level of this strain. The crystalline compound tetrahydrocannabinol is the main ingredient of cannabis. Topping out at 24%, the THC in the Sativa-dominant strain is responsible for the energetic and focused feeling you get when using Hawaiian Auto.
- CBD: Very Minimal Amounts – While the CBD levels in Hawaiian Auto are about 1% the cannabinoid is still present and the effects are noticeable in this strain. CBD plays a smaller role in what the strain does to the user. CBD is non-psychoactive and can produce effects that help with anxiety, sleep, pain and even stress. The CBD in the Hawaiian Auto strain, even in its low amounts definitely has a positive effect on the user.
