Germination
Germinating Durban Poison seeds is easy. The most common method starts with soaking the seeds in water for between 12-24 hours.Then place the seeds between two damp paper towels spacing them a few centimeters apart. Carefully, place them in a warm, dark location. Seeds will usually sprout within 12-36 hours. The seeds can then be moved. The roots will be delicate.

How to Grow
Although the Durban Poison strain can be grown indoors or outdoors, growing outdoors is recommended if you live in a sunny, warm climate with temperatures in the 70⁰-80⁰ F range. Plants should be pruned and trained to prevent overcrowding. Well drained soil and a slightly acidic PH, in addition to fertilization and water are needed as well. Growing indoors is also a valid option, just make sure to use proper lighting.
Plants will flower in about 60-70 days yielding a harvest of up to about 350 grams per plant indoors. Outdoors you should have a yield of about 450-500 grams per plant in late September-late October. To harvest, cut the branches and hang them upside down for about 7-10 days to dry out. Then cure them by putting each in an airtight jar for about 2-4 weeks. Make sure to open the jar daily for the first week to release any moisture. Once cured, it is ready to smoke and enjoy!

My first time with this one, it really gets tall! Resonded well to LST and a basic environment.

Outstanding strain! We grew three plants outside in NY (max my medical license allows). One sativa, one indica, and one hybrid. DP was the sativa and it is now fully dried and cured. Germinated easily and very forgiving of HST. It smells like a pine forest on a damp morning with zero harshness in the bong. The taste is sweet and tangy and the high is intense, uplifting, and makes you feel like you could do anything as long as power tools are not involved.
Ours grew over six feet tall and yielded 15 ounces fully trimmed, dried, and cured. It will make you feel like the life of the party and you can keep going all night, but not a good one to consume just before bed unless you want to lay there wide awake trying to think of something to do. Highly recommended!

This durban poison brings me back from the dead! I love buying online….they ship my seeds so quickly…..and then I germinate them right away. Beautiful MJ at a low low price, and grows so beautifully out in the yard. I feel so proud of my little seeds. I know this isn’t the easiest strain to work with, but it’s worth it! Bought a 5 pack only 3 germinated. You only get store credit for bad seeds so you have to order again if you need the seeds. The 3 that germinated had 1/2 inch tap roots in 3 days under paper towel. Bought the same seeds last year and had no problems with seeds. This is a vary good high yield strain. Last year I got between 500 and 600 grams of dried buds per plant that’s why I ordered again this year. Only disappointed with germination rate this year.
