Grape God
Gaining widespread popularity in Denver, Colorado, in 2010, the Grape God strain of cannabis has become a fan favorite worldwide. The Indica-dominant herb was created by combining famous parent strains Grapefruit and God Bud. This mellow vibes strain is a delicious retreat from the stresses of everyday life. While it isn’t overwhelmingly powerful, it still gets the job done and should be enjoyed at night when you can take a hit or two and just chill out. Spice, herbs, soil, and botanical notes support the strong grape flavor profile. While its aroma profile is fully down-to-earth, its physical and cerebral effects lift you. Many describe the high as airy, serene, and profoundly mellow. As an indica-dominant hybrid promotes a chilled-out state of mind. That skunky sweet aroma is highly recognizable among cannabis fans as it lures you in long before you ever take a hit. With a berry-like aftertaste, there is no mystery surrounding how this strain became so popular so quickly.

Grape God: Skunky Sweet Grape
Grape God cannabis is famous for its eye-catching color. When the seeds finally hit their stride and grow into flowers, you will see bright pinks and purples all over this plant. Featuring long, jagged green leaves, the strain boasts vibrant pink pistils at the very top of the buds. Looking closely at the matured buds, you can see a dusting of crystal trichomes that make the plant appear as if it were doused in sugar. The sticky resin these trichomes produce accentuates the flavors and aromas. The finished product is nuggets that are equal parts green and lavender. These dense nuggets give off a skunky smell that will make your mouth water. Grape God has many awards to add to its sterling reputation. It was the 15th selection in the 2014 Karma Cup and also made several High Times Cannabis Cup appearances. With a few smaller local victories in California and Colorado, its home state, the Grape God strain is building a resume that can only be described as fantastic.
Growing Tips for Our Seeds
This legendary strain has won the hearts of seasoned growers and newbie gardeners alike. Grape God feminized cannabis seeds can be cultivated both indoors and outside with ease. Just make sure the climate is humid and warm. Beyond its preference for sunshine, this strain is known for its low-maintenance growing characteristics. The Grape God strain is easy to grow and has earned international recognition as a strain that even virgin-growers can bring to harvest without any headaches.
Dial in Your Growing Conditions
- Indoor or Outdoor: Grape God cannabis plants can be grown indoors and outdoors by all levels of growers. The ideal temperature for these plants is between 70-80 degrees Fahrenheit. We recommend shocking your plants near the end of the vegetative growth stage. This can be done by exposing your garden to cooler (but never freezing) overnight temperatures. The light requirement for this strain is 18-20 hours to ensure the proper time of growth. Approaching the flowering stage, you will want to switch to a 12/12 light cycle.
- Moisture control: For humidity, it is best to keep it around 50-60% through the vegetative stage. Dialing back the humidity to 40-50% will help get through the flowering stage without mold or mildew growing on your plants.
- Training Techniques: Low-stress training and Screen of Green training are the best methods for this strain as they both require canopy adjustment so that the lower levels of the plant receive sunlight and air circulation. These methods will ultimately increase your yields come harvest time. The Screen of Green technique requires utilizing a screen to hold up stems and branches that have heavy buds growing on them so they won’t break.
The Germination Game Plan
Before you even plant your Grape God female cannabis plants, you will first need to germinate these seeds. To do so, refer to our free germination guide, knowing that they are backed by our impressive 90% germination guarantee.
Yields, Flowering Time, and Harvest
- Flowering Time: Growing indoors, you can expect the Grape God strain to harvest after a flowering period of 55-65 days. Outdoor gardeners should plan for an autumn harvest around late September to early October.
- Yields: While Indoor yields are around 500 grams per square meter, outdoor grows typically produce up to 600 grams per plant. Massive yields for a notoriously easy-to-grow strain.
Dominant Terpenes in Grape God: Skunky Grape
The Grape God terpene profile is directly responsible for how the plant smells and tastes and the strong effects it has on its users. The most dominant terpene in this strain is beta-caryophyllene, while myrcene, limonene, and ocimene are secondary terpenes.
- Beta-Caryophyllene: Most Dominant – Peppery and spicy notes. One of the most dominant terpenes in the cannabis world.
- Myrcene: Secondary Terpene – Earthy, musky aroma. Known to help with inflammation.
- Limonene: Citrusy Flavor – Found in the rinds of citrus fruits like mango and tangerines, this terpene helps with anxiety and improves lung function.
- Ocimene: Sweet & Fruity – This terpene gives cannabis its sweet, fruity, citrus flavor and aroma.
Dominant Cannabinoids in Grape God:
Cannabinoids play an important role in Grape God seeds and are generally a huge part of most strains of cannabis. That euphoric, happy, and relaxed feeling you get when enjoying the Grape God strain is due to its dominant cannabinoids. Each cannabinoid does something different to the user.
- THC: The Main Character – THC is the most dominant cannabinoid on the molecular level of this strain. The crystalline compound tetrahydrocannabinol is the main ingredient of cannabis. Topping out at 16%, the THC in this Indica-dominant strain is responsible for the happy and euphoric feeling you get when enjoying Grape God cannabis.
- CBD: Very Minimal Amounts – While the CBD levels in Grape God are less than 1%, the cannabinoid is still present, and the effects are noticeable in this strain. CBD plays a smaller role in what the strain does to the user. CBD is non-psychoactive and can produce effects that help with anxiety, sleep, pain, and even stress. The CBD in the Grape God strain, even in its lower amounts, definitely has a positive effect on the user.
