Germination

Germinating Shiva Skunk seeds is easy. The most common method starts with soaking the seeds in water for between 12-24 hours. Then place the seeds between two damp paper towels spacing them a few centimeters apart. Carefully, place them in a warm, dark location. Seeds will usually sprout within 12-36 hours. The seeds can then be moved into a high quality soil in growing pots.  The roots will be delicate.

Placing seeds directly into quality soil is another option for germinating. Presoak the soil and make a hole for each seed, about 10-12mm deep.  Loosely cover the seeds with soil. Routinely spray the top with water to maintain moisture. A sprout should appear within 10 days.

Where it Grows Best

Shiva Skunk can be grown both indoors and outdoors in a warm, Mediterranean-like climate(71⁰-77⁰ F). These plants are short and don’t grow over 30 inches tall.

How to Grow

When grown indoors, Shiva Skunk does best when using hydroponics, but will also do well in quality soil. For both options, using the Screen of Green(ScrOG)method is recommended to increase the amount and quality of the harvest.

Plants will flower in about  7-9 weeks yielding a harvest of about 450 grams per plant. To harvest, cut the branches and hang them upside down for about 7-10 days to dry out. Then cure them by putting each in an airtight jar for about 2-4 weeks. Make sure to open the jar daily for the first week to release any moisture.  Once cured, the Shiva Skunk is ready to smoke and enjoy!

When grown outdoors, you can expect the same yield of about  450 grams per plant and a harvest in late October.
