Now’s the perfect time to check out any one of these cannabis restaurants across the United States. So, pack a bag, and work up a healthy appetite because these CBD and cannabis eateries are cooking up serious deliciousness.
Cannabis Restaurants: a Quick Overview
We tried our best to find a wide variety of cannabis restaurants that span across the entire United States (source 1). It would be a shame if all of them were located in California or Colorado. That being said, the number of cannabis restaurants in a certain state directly depends on said location’s cannabis laws.
CBD and Cannabis Restaurants from Coast to Coast
California
Starting on the West Coast, arguably the most cannabis-friendly corner of the country, we have Lowell Farms OG Cannabis Cafe in West Hollywood (source 2). The dining establishment brands itself as the “first full-service restaurant and lounge to offer farm-to-table cannabis and cuisine.” It may have been the first cannabis restaurant to pop up in the US.
Oregon
Situated in Southeast Portland, Ankeny Tap and Table serves up delicious comfort classics like burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast staples. Locals and tourists alike come here for the delicious food—but also their CBD-infused beers. Several beers have CBD oil added to them to provide a hefty dose of relaxation to your dining experience (source 3).
Washington
It wouldn’t be a complete road trip up the West Coast without a stop in Seattle. Did you know that Washington was one of the first states to legalize cannabis across the board? LUVN Kitchn [sic] has been a fan favorite since 2014 thanks to their culinary cannabis catering business and virtual cooking classes. Now, you can dine in for cannabis-infused meals or cook your home at home (source 4).
Nevada
Open for over 40 years, The Dispensary Lounge in Las Vegas has it all. Here you can enjoy 24/7 dining service, gaming, and gambling all within a fully operational cannabis dispensary. This one establishment has everything you could ever want: cannabis, food, casino games, and jazz music (source 5).
Colorado
If you’d rather skip dinner and jump straight into dessert, we have a delicious donut spot for you. Habit Doughnut Dispensary offers some of the most unique filling flavors in the state, many of which come with the added bonus of CBD tincture and/or bitters. And guess what? You can even infuse your donut with CBD cold brew, beer, and spirits for a boozy sweet treat (source 6).
Texas
We were stunned to see a cannabis restaurant in the Lone Star state. But alas, in the heart of Dallas you’ll find the upscale (and slightly expensive) Suze restaurant and cocktail bar. If it’s CBD you’re after, you have to order the only infused cocktail on the menu: A Love Field. It’s made with gin, lemon, Maraschino liqueur, and Lillet aperitif (source 7).
Illinois
The upscale and swanky Herbal Notes in Chicago serves marijuana-infused foods with various flower strains and THC products. The restaurant, owned by Chef Manuel Mendoza, prides itself on being a true dining experience with classical music in the background and education on the benefits of cannabis
Pennsylvania
Fuel Healthy Kitchen in Philadelphia is a health-food lover’s dream. This hip restaurant offers smoothies, wraps, juices, and different bowls that feature CBD as an add-on option. Originally based out of Philadelphia, Fuel Healthy Kitchen has recently franchised and will be opening four more locations soon, possibly in Pittsburgh as well (source 8).
New York
With a name like 99th Floor Edibles, you better expect this cannabis restaurant to serve some of the most upscale and highly-quality plates in the canna-dining industry. Their location in New York City also features an on-site smoking lounge, complimentary sampling, and entertainment that does with the night’s events (source 9).
Massachusetts
We found that Eat Sacrilicious is one of the few high-quality dining experiences that, in order to attend one of their events, we need to sign up to be a member first. They can make beautiful yet simple dishes like grilled shrimp and avocado toast, grilled romaine Caesar salad, and cinnamon brown butter cake; all with an infusion of the highest quality cannabis (source 10).
